Sean Clancy is an Irish writer/director based in Dublin.
Sean’s music video work has received nominations for a range of awards, including the Young Director Award, Kinsale Shark Award, Shiny Award, and Emerging Director Award. In 2018, his no-budget feature film, 'Locus of Control,' received the Jury Special Recognition Award at the Silk Road International Film Festival and was subsequently released on Amazon Prime.
In 2019, Sean was selected to participate in Berlinale Talents, a platform designed by the Berlin International Film Festival to support the top 250 emerging filmmakers from around the world.
Sean's most recent achievement was his selection as one of only eight participants for the prestigious 2020 Puttnam Scholarship. This educational initiative, organised by Screen Ireland and Oscar-winning producer David Puttnam, offered an opportunity for emerging filmmakers to develop their skills and hone their craft.
